War between Facebook and Google.

The growth of the Facebook is givining a threat to Internet giant Google. Facebook has more than 500 million user who contribute to more than 4 billion piece of information, 850 million photos and more than 8 million videos every month. More then 400 million users means more than 1/5 of internet user in the world. Means facebook can become search engine who has most personal user data. Facebook has become the no. 1 traffic site in USA on weekly basis.

On the basis of traffic facebook is on second position after google and is gaining more and more market share of Google. Moreover what exactly facebook will do with the 400 million data of people is still a question of concern. Suppose what will happen if people get all search results on facebook like other search engines. Then what would be their first choice, again here Facebook have an edge. All these facts are giving a threat to Google.

Facebook Track Record
Facebook is known for its new social application and techniques. In facebook you can reload the photos like Flickr, share links like Delicious, send the personal e mail, check the status updation of friends, can create your company or business personal page. Facebook has introduced the "Like Button" for all his pages, which is helping the user to promote their page more virally. Moreover facebook has more form of advertising like facebook adds with pictures,facebook fan page, groups then google online advertising.

Last year Facebook had purchased the "FriendFeed" a popular social networking platform. In last December Facebook launched Connect, a network of more than 10,000 sites, which allows the user to access facebook without logging to facebook site.Moreover Facebook is using Bing as it default search engine. This year in Feb Google had launched the "Google Buzz" his new social networking venture,but could not successed in diverting people from facebook.

If Facebook continue growing like this it will not take more time to become the no. one site in world. Today the rivalry between Facebook and Google are going to define the new structure, design, utility and future of the internet. From the last decades internet has been defined by Google algorithm and his mathematics equations. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg believes in a more personalized, humanized Web, where our network of friends, colleagues, peers, and family is our primary source of information.

We can't ignore the Google in terms of innovation, new applications, techniques in internet. How Google will deal with Facebook,we can find this answer only in future. In 1-2 years picture will get more clearer who is going to dominate on internet. I am writing this post in May 2010 and i believe in the end of this year picture will get little bit more clearer.
