Today Twitter rolled out two new features which are @username and Activity tab. Now you can see which of your tweet are favorite of others, which of your tweets are retweeted and which of your tweet inspire people to follow you.
Twitter replaces @metions with @username and added one more new feature as activity tab. Activity tab will show you favourites, follow, retweets and more by people you follow. As Twitter said, it will make Twitter easier to explore and connect with people. In my point of view it's good feature and will make Twitter more intractable.
Lady Gaga become the first Twitter user have more than 10 Millions followers. Lady Gaga celebrated this milestone with a Tweetpic Tweet which said, "10MillionMonsters! I'm speechless, we did it! Its an illness how I love you. Leaving London smiling."
There is no doubt Lady Gaga is queen of social media. Lady Gaga has very strong presence in social media websites. Lady Gaga has more than 32 Million Facebook Fans and was the first celebrity to get 10 Millions Fans in Facebook. Moreover Lady gaga got 1 billion video views in YouTube. First week of May should be celebrated as Twitter week. First record no. of Tweets for Royal Weeding then new tweets record on Oscama death. But Twitter is not going to stop and this time Twitter got first tweet from Top of the world, Mount Everest. British mountain climber Kenton Cool is the first person who tweeted from Mount Everest.
Kenton Cool climbed Mount Everest eight times before and this time he share his excitement through Tweet, Really Cool :)
But think how technology spread all over the world, at Mount Everest you can get the 3G signal and can use smart phone.
In Feb. month i wrote about the Super Bowl 2011 Tweets per Second record. Super Bowl broke the record of Japan vs Denmark Football world cup match with 4,064 tweets per second. But Super Bowl can sustain this record only for two months. Death of Osama Bin Laden broke the Super Bowl record with 5,530 tweets per second.
On 1st May evening for more than two hours tweet per second was more than 3000. Also death of Osama Bin Laden become the one of most tweeted event in history. In last post about tweet per second (TPS) i made one mistake, Super Bowl 2011 don't create the maximum TPS record. still the maximum no. of TPS record is 6,939 tweets per second at New Year's Eve 2011 in Japan.
Twitter got more than 1.2 million tweets on Oscar nights, more than 388k user tweets at last night. Out of 1.2 million tweets, 10 tweets were mine :). Below is data i took from Techcrunch. Plz click on image to see it more clearly.
Super Bowl broke the all previous records and got the maximum no. of tweets per second. Super Bowl is the championship game of National Football League in USA. At the final moment of game fans send 4064 tweets per second (TPS). Previous record was 3283 TPS, during Japan 3-1 win over Denmark in last year football world cup.
It takes only few months to break the previous TPS record. Lets see how long Super Bowl sustain his record.
Now you can find and share the videos in Twitter. Twitter new feature allows you to find videos people are sharing in Twitter. Its very simple, click on @Timeline at your Twitter Home Page and see the box icon on the end right hand side the tweet, it will show its a video, click on it and see the video tweet. And if you want to share the video, you can use the You tube URL shortner tool.
YouTube shorter Url is http://youtu.be/[videoID], in videoID past the video id of You Tube video. Every YouTube video has unique id, which is the last digits of video. For example, Eagle Video "Peaceful Easy Feeling" url is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqOU2ox_tk8

Twitter start showing the promoted accounts in your Twitter profile page. Yesterday Twitter had announced in their Blog about promoted accounts start up. Promoted accounts is latest advertising started by Twitter.
You can see the Promoted accounts in "who to follow" section of your Twitter home page. Promoted accounts will be shown to your profile on the basic of your Twitter profile. Suppose if you are movie buff and like lots of movie and Hollywood Celebrities.
Then you can see the promoted accounts related to movie, entertainment etc. Means in your Twitter profile to whom you follow matter a lot for promoted accounts suggestion.
