Instant Preview For Google Adwords Ads

Few months back Google launched the Google Instant preview for Google search results. And from today onwards you can see the ads preview in Google search. In instant preview you can see how page looks by clicking on the lens button in search results. In my Google Instant preview post you can read more about this.

Google said, instant preview will helps advertiser to get more qualified customer to their web site. Means if after seeing your web page in preview, if some one clicks on your ads, chances to convert that visitor to customer is more than simple visitor.

How to Improve Quality Score in Google Adwords ?

Quality score is one of the factor in determine the ad rank (Ad Rank= Bid x Quality Score) in Google adwords. So by improving the quality score you can reduce the bid you are going to spend on a keyword. There are lots of factors which decide the quality score of each keyword.

Some of the tips to improve quality score are:

1. High Theme Ad groups
Create high themed ad gropus and each of your ad group should advertise single product. Suppose you have shoes store. It would be better if you make separate Ad gropus for Leather Shoes,Sports Shoes, Women Shoes and school shoes etc.

2. Target Appropriate Location and Language
Be very careful in targeting location and language, suppose if you are advertising in Eurpoe be sepcific for cities of country and language. For example if you are targeting in Spain, first decide in which cities of Spian you want to advertise and instead of English it would be better if you chose Spanish language.

3. Write Descriptive Ads
In your ad text, clearly describe about your product and what you are offering. For example if you are selling camera, tell specific features. If it is branded, tell about brand. Emphasize what makes your produce and services unique. Include call to action in your ad. For example, use keywords like Buy Now, Sign Up, Life Time Warranty etc.


4.Evaluate Landing Page
Landing page is page where you land when you click on Ad. Landing page should be very speicfic and should be relevant to your ad text. If you talk about discount in your ad text, it should be in your landing page. Also if your goal is to generate leads there should be a well customized sign up form with strong call to action.

By using all these tips you can improve the quality score in Adwords.

YouTube's Life in a Day Movie will Release on July 2011

In social media, April month is fully dominated by YouTube. First YouTube launched the YouTube live stream, Prince William live marriage coverage and now "Life in a Day" documentary movie. Life in a day is story of single day in life and is directed by Oscar winner director Kevin Macdonald. Kevin cut down the 4500 hours of footage into 90 minutes film.

But how YouTube get idea to make movie on life in a day ? On 24th July 2010 thousands of people around the world uploaded video in YouTube about their single life day.

Life in a day is produced by Ridley Scott and National Geography Entertainment will premier movie on 24th July 2011, just 4 days after my birthday. Still YouTube has not announced the release date of movie outside U.S. But here in India, I'm waiting for Life in a Day.

YouTube Will Live Stream Prince William Wedding

After a fews days to launch YouTube Live stream, YouTube got hotest live streaming of year, which is Royal marriage of British's Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton. Marrige ceremony date is fixed on 29 April 2011.

Live streaming of marriage will host on official YouTube Royal Page. Marriage live streaming will run for 4 hours which begin at 10 am BST. YouTube is expecting to get more than 2 billion views for live streaming. The event is going to be biggest ever live event on YouTube, before this YouTube live streamed the U2 concert and got more than 10 million views.

Do you know who are the top 10 celebrities on Facebook, which celebrities Facebook have maxmium no. of fans. Last month i discussed about the top 10 brands on Facebook and this time top 10 celebrities list which includes singer, musician, sportsman. Intresting thing to notice is out of top 10, eight celebrities are musician.

Bing replaces the Bing Local Listing with Bing Business Portal.  Bing said new Bing Business Portal is more impactful and will benefits both business owner and visitors. A new competitor for Google Places.

Bing Business Portal include two steps for local listing first verfiy your business and then you can add photos, videos, payment mode and all business details. All these features are quite similar to Google Places.

YouTube Launches YouTube Live Browse Page

Finally YouTube launched the Live streaming feature for certain parters. In past YouTube had shown the live streaming of few events which includes IPL Matches in India, concerts, public speech etc. Even this year YouTube showing live streaming of IPL-4 matches. But this time YouTube has come up with YouTube Live browse Page.

In YouTube Live browse page you can see the all the live events which include featured events, today, Upcoming and next 7 days events.

YouTube has surpassed more than 2 billion video views in a day and is third highest traffic website in world. Moreover YouTube is second largest search engine in world after Google. YouTube said, "Our Goal is to provide the thousands of partners with the capability to live stream from their channels in the months ahead."

I believe YouTube Live can break the all previous records of watching a live video. And soon will become the biggest place to watch any news, concerts, sports match or anytning live in world.

How to Track Multi Domains in Google Analytics

In Google Analytics you can track multiple domains. A domain is a hostname and it stands for numeric IP address, in simple words domain represtens the IP address in internet. Sometime we need to track the data across both domains. For example, if you have e commerce website and you send the visitors to other shopping cart website for purchases.

Since Google use the first party cookies, it can't automatically track whether those visitors complete the purchase or not beacuse user is going to other website for purchse completion. If session spends more than one domains it will not be possible to track the session as single visit.

And in order to track the user across multiple domains you need to send the cookies information to other site.

By using The _link() Method you can track a visitor accross mutiple domains. _link() works by sending the cookies information via URL parameter. To track across the domains you need to follow the two steps which include adding few lines in Google Analytics code for all pages you want to track for each website. The additional lines are in red colors given below

Second step involves the _link() method, we can use this method by using link across all domains. In this method we updates the links between each domain. For example for

Seconddomain.com
onclick="_gaq.push(['_link',http://firstdomain.com'];return false;">Go to our first website>

When user click on the link which will take them to other domain and session information is preserved and user is identified as same user across both domains.

What is a Browser?

If I asked you this question, what is browser? Do you know the answer? Specially if you are from non IT background. I asked this simple question to lots of my frineds and maximum of them are non IT background. Got surprised, a few of them looked at me in such way that i asked about some java script or coding :). And few right answers i got is Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Chrome. A web browser is program in your computer which allow you to visit the websites. Some of the famous web browsers are Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera etc.

Google Funniest April Fool Joke

Google known for its April fool jokes, it started from the launch of Gmail and till this year Google surprise the world through its April fool jokes. Beauty of the jokes are that in last second you come to know its a joke because jokes are so realistic and in field of technology Google can do anything.

In morning when i check my Gmail i saw "New Gmail Motion Beta" at top of my Gmail box. As i click on link a new page open with video and sign in button. First i watched the video, i thought may be it's possible but after that when i click on try Gmail Motion i got "April Fool, Gmail Motion does not exist" message.
