Top 10 Celebrities in Facebook

Do you know who are the top 10 celebrities on Facebook, which celebrities Facebook have maxmium no. of fans. Last month i discussed about the top 10 brands on Facebook and this time top 10 celebrities list which includes singer, musician, sportsman. Intresting thing to notice is out of top 10, eight celebrities are musician.

Top 10 celebrities are:

1. Eminem- 33,581,876 Fans

King of rapper is number one in Facebook page, having more than 33 millions Fans.

2. Lady Gaga- 32,408,611 Fans
Not a big surprise, lady gala has very strong presence in social media, whether its Facebook, Twitter or YouTube. Last month Lady Gaga visited the head office of Google on personal invitation of Google.

3. Michael Jackson- 31,439,416 Fans
Still Michael is in people heart, his 3rd rank in Facebook tell it clearly.

4. Rihanna- 30,239,912 Fans
Like me in Facebook, can she compose a song for Facebook Fans. I'm also fan of Rihana and like to thrill on her music.

5. Shakira- 26,339,963 Fans
Shikra is in fifth postion, still 4 million less than Rihanna.

6. Linkin Park- 25,743,506 Fans

You can see from 1 to 6 all of them are musician. Linkin Park is in 6th postion and is very close to beat Shakira.

7. Justin Bieber- 25,331,258 Fans
Justin Bieber is in 7th position, but still no. 1 in YouTube. Justin Bieber "Baby" song has most no. of video views in YouTube.

8. Cristiano Ronaldo- 23,754,365 Fans
Cristiano Ronaldo is only one sportsman in top 10 celebrities on Facebook Page

9. Megan Fox- 22,946,883 Fans
Hot and sexy Magan Fox is in 9th position and only actor in top 10 Facebook celebrities

10. Lil Wayne- 22,821,828 Fans
Through Facebook Page, I come to know about Lil, one of the famous American rapper. I'm sure Lil is not much famous in India as rest of all are.

New Facebook Page- Facebook Redesign Existing FB Page

Facebook redesign the Facebook Page and give it a new look. New Facebook page is quite similar to personal user profile. Main changes you can see in navigation, picture, wall setting and in admin section.

Today i redesign the my Facebook Page into new Facebook Page. Although Facebook will automatically change the all pages by end of March but if you can't wait more and want to see how your new Facebook Page will look then go to Facebook Page Status.

Here you will see the Page upgrade Status,

Click on upgrade, after clicking on upgrade you will see

Click on continue. Now you will see the all new feature of Facebook Page step by step, Below you can see showcase your photo

After clicking on continue, you will see new navigation, which is quite similar to pesonal profile setting.

Then You can see new wall,

Now wall has two new setting,  you can show post by your Facebook Page or top post by everyone. In setting section you can add email notification, posting preference etc.

After finishing the tour i got my new Facebook Page which is Dev Bhoomi Himachal. On top you can see the welcome the upgrade page, by clicking on take a tour you can know about all new feature in Facebook Page.

Best feature as admin i like in upgrade Facebook Page is, "log in as your Facebook Page". "Log in as Facebook Page" allow admin to interact with people as Facebook page not as individual. Please click on image to see it clearly.

How to use Google Analytic Tracking in Facebook Page

You can enabled the Google analytic tracking code in your Facebook Page. And you can track all activities of your Facebook page. It's simple, go to your Google Analytic account and create a separate profile for your Facebook page. Like i created for my Facebook page as Dev Bhoomi Himachal.

After creating a separate profile for your page, you will get the unique google analytic code. Copy the id no. of tracking code, it will be like UA-123456 (some numeric digits). There is no need to verify website in Google analytics.

Now go to code generator website, this website will generate the separate tracking code for Facebook Pages. Put your analytic code id in this tool and follow the instructions.

Write the Google Analytic code no. in first box and in Domain on Analytics, write facebook.com.  This tracking code look like this, see in red circled area.  Please click on image to see it more clear

Now install this code in your different Facebook pages, you can enable this code in static FBML pages. See above picture, new generated code is in red circled area. As you enabled code it start working and you can see all tracking report in your Google Analytic Dashboard.

How to Create Vanity URL for Facebook Pages

A vanity URL is short form of URL. A vanity URL is created to point to something which is related to your business. Facebook allows you to create a vanity url for your Facebook Page.

The vanity url help you to identity the internet presence of your business.You can use your vanity URL in your business cards, email signature as well as in your website. You can directly browse your page by typing your vanity url. As admin of Facebook Page you can choose the vanity url for your Facebook Page.

But before choosing the vanity URL for your facebook page there are few things that you must know about

. Your Facebook Page must have atleast 25 Fans

. Vanity URL can only contain alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9) or a period (".")

. Create a your name that closely matches the identity of your Business, Services or Brand.

. Once you have claimed your vanity url you can't change it, be very clear, specific.
Although Facebook has given sign that in future you can change your username or vanity url, but you have to follow some conditions of Facebook.

Therefore its better to choose one time user name, which clearly defines your business.


In order to create vanity url for your Facebook Page, go to Facebook User Name page

You will see the above box , now click on the pages and you will see the all Facebook pages you have, Then type the user name you want to give to your page. And then check the availability. If it is available you can save this a vanity url of your Facebook Page

For example for my Facebook Page, Dev Bhoomi Himachal, I choose the user name Dev Bhoomi Himachal and vanity url of my Facebook page is http://www.facebook.com/Devbhoomihimachal

You can check the vanity url in info page of your Facebook Page.

For business, organization, celebrities, brands Facebook provide the separate page, which is known as Facebook Page. You can know about the Facebook page and how to create Facebook Page in my previous post.  In order to make Facebook Page more user and business friendly, Facebook provides the some applications for Facebook Page known as Facebook Business Page applications. With the help of these application you can add the videos, can adjust your picture, can show you blog or RSS feeds, links to your website etc. From small companies to Blue Chip companies like Adidas, Coca-Cola are using these applications in very good way.

Although there are lots of applications for Facebook Business Page, but I will discuss about the top 5 applications used by these companies

Static FBML Application
This application is one of the most used application for Facebook Pages. Till date Static FBML has more than 63,327,427 monthly users. Here FBML means Facebook mark up language; this application allows you to fix your images, brochures, content, videos as a Tab in Facebook Page. How Delhi Traffic Police is using Facebook Page.

In Facebook you have seen Pages of celebrities, Businesses, small companies to MNC's etc. But Traffic Police in Facebook, still don't believe but its true. Delhi Traffic Police is using Facebook for Traffic updates and more than 13 thousand people like their page. In this page Delhi Traffic police tell about the latest traffic updates in city.

Any announcement about road construction, accidents, high traffic jam etc. Moreover Delhi Traffic Police is showing the CCTV pictures of traffic violating vehicles.

How to create and promote your business in Facebook Page

Facebook gives a separate page for business promtion and this page is known as Facebook Page.This page is not less then a web site, in this page you can post the all the latest updates, pictures, videos, events or any information you want to share with your customer. Facebook gives the better options for all those small business companies who don't have a web site, because Facebook Page is not less then a website. From small business companies to MNC's Facebook Page has become the first choice for brand, products, business promotion

And if you are a facebook user, then you aware about Facebook Page. Lots of time you have notice your friend suggests you to like the Facebook Pages of their interest. It can be Page of a celebrity like Michael Jakson, Actor like will smith, Companies like Coca-cola, Adidas, Nike etc.

In order to make a Facebook Page, first you have to make accounts in facebook. After making your account go to the application,Pages sections. Then go to the create page and select the page type, like for local Business or for brands, organization, company etc. You can also make the Facebook page in the login page of the facebook, you can see the create a page link in the bottom of log in section. For example i have created the Dev Bhoomi Himachal Page in Facebook with its vanity URL , so even by typing this URL in browser you can see your Facebook Page and can use it as your business page URL. After doing this start promoting your page among your friends, people of same interest, it can be word of mouth. Tell every one to whom you know about your Facebook Page, ask your friends to suggest your page to their friends.
