Yesterday Google announced "Google Place Search" still i have not found "Places" in Google search page. But in few days you can search for "Places" in Google search page.

Know about Google Adwords Editorial Policies

Google made advertising policies for adwords program, every advertiser has to accept these policies in order to run ad campaign in Google Networks. Google divided the adwords policies in three categories which are Editorial and Format policies, Content policies and  Link policies. Let understand these polices one by one

1. Editorial and Format Policies
. Editorial Polices includes the character limits for title and description, display url. For example for Title of ad character limit is 25 include spaces, so you can't exceed the given limit.
. Unnecessary Punctuation and symbols, phrases, repetitions etc.
. Offer and discounts, if you mentioned offer, discounts in your ads, it should be in clearly visible in your landing page.

2. Content Policies
In content policies you can't show the content which violate Google terms and conditions or country norms. For example you can't show the ads related to Gambling, Porn, Tobacco and Cigarettes, Drugs, weapons, sensitive issues etc.

3. Link Policies
. The link you have given to landing page must have same domain as you shown in display url.
. No Pop Ups- There should be no pop ups in your landing page
. No affiliate urls, your landing page should not automatically linked to third party for any business program.

So when ever you plan to run Google Adwords campaign, keep these polices in mind.

How to use "Google Insights Search" for Online Marketing & Advertising

Google Insights Search is wonderful tool to find out what people are searching in a particular country, regions etc. With the help of Google Insights search you can compare the search volume by categories wise, Time range wise. You can compare search for more than two products at a time.

In Filter section of Insights Search you can filter your search and can make it more specific. For example you can filter your search for web, image, news search, can filter country wise, time ranges etc.

Lets take an example to understand it better. Suppose my company is doing the business of Car Loan and Car Insurance. I want to run an PPC advertising campaign in India for my business services. But first its better to find out what people are searching in internet.

In "Google Insights Search" type keywords related to your business or services. In given example i type the "Car Loan" and "Car insurance". You can see the filter section next to search boxes. Since i want to run my campaign in India so i select India, Time period- current year and in Category i choose the automotive search.

After clicking on search you can see the two different graph for both keywords. In below picture red color graph represents the Car Loan and blue Car Insurance. You can see the search volume month wise.

You can check the volume of search state wise, the regions in map with dark blue color shows more search volume for car insurance in those state.

Today morning as i log in Facebook, i saw big notice on top of my page, Find your Orkut friends on Facebook. I don't know Facebook is showing this in India or worldwide. But still in India, Orkut is one of top social networking site. . More will be post better will be for blog

Facebook+Bing Announced "Social Search"

Facebook is planning to come up with social search and want to make search more personalize. Yesterday Mark Zuckerberg had announced Facebook is working with Bing to make search more social. He also gave the answers of few questions about "Social Search" and how does it work?

Bing will show the search results for Facebook Profile of the people and  Likes of the people. On what types of data Facebook will provide to Bing and on Facebook users privacy, Mark answer was "Bing can get only information about you what any other user can see in Facebook. It’s all public information."

# SEO Tips: Use Anchor Text in Content

Search Engines give the high weight age to anchor texts. Use anchor texts in content in best possible way. Use main keywords as your anchor texts in content. Avoid the generic keywords like "click here" or "read more" etc. as anchors texts, instead of this use keywords in anchor text.

Make good inbound or internal linking by using the anchor text. "You can read more about types of keywords in my previous blog post". Previous line is an example, how to use your keywords in anchor text.

Facebook Developer Garage Meet at Bangalore.

Last Sunday i attended the Facebook Developer Garage meet at Kuliza Technology, Bangalore. The event is supported by Facebook and co-hosted by Social Media Club Bangalore, Kuliza and GizaPage.

Event venue was full with all social media enthusiasts of Bangalore. Interaction with Facebook, social media application developer and sharing of knowledge was wonderful. Everyone has new idea and want to rock in Facebook by developing application or by viral marketing.

Interesting thing is that through out the section every social media experts give their thoughts and tips about viral marketing. And personally i love to read and learn about viral marketing.

As a blogger i want to share the three guru mantra for blogging. Although there are lots of blogs tips, but the three which i like most and try to implement are

Passion
Passion is Guru Mantra for Blogging. Be passionate about blogging.Your passion for blogging can make you a great blogger.

Consistency
Consistency, one of most important thing in blog writing. Be consistent in blog writing. If you can't write blog daily try to write on alternate days. Even if you write one blog post in a week, be consistent on that.

Short Post
Less is more in Blogging. Try to write short posts in your blog. Don't try to make your blog post too much lengthy. Believe me to write short post is not easy task.

Google has made new technology for Car industry and successfully implemented their experiment. Google now going to change car driving. Now your driving will be accident free, more secure, you can save lots of time in driving etc.

goo.gl, Google URL Shortener Tool VS bit.ly

Finally Google has come up with URL shortener tool goo.gl. Now you can shortener the long URL by using goo.gl and can easily share among your friends. Before goo.gl, bit.ly was the most used web site for URL shortener. But now goo.gl will surely effect the market share of bit.ly.

Google also providing the analytic analysis for your shortener URL. You can see the clicks for Past: two hours| day| week| month| all time. Besides this in detail information section you can see the how many of clicks you got for your URL, from which countries you got the clicks etc. For all these details you need to sign in goo.gl with your gmail account.

bit.ly- Easiest way to shorten and track links, is tag line of bit.ly.

Bit.ly also provide the all information about link shortener URL, you can know all information about your shortener URl. By clicking on info Page+ or adding + in end of your bit.ly short url you can get the all detailed information of shortener URL.

I like the both goo.gl and bit.ly, but now using goo.gl more than bit.ly. One thing is sure Google online presence will effect the market share of bit.ly for URL shortener. Remember Google is known as undisputed king of Internet Industry.

Now Download "Your Account Information" in Facebook New Feature

Facebook has come up with new feature which allow you to download "Your account information". Now in Facebook you can download your all personal data in zip file format. You can access "Download Your Information" feature in your account setting. By clicking on the download button you can download the all your information like your photos, videos, wall posts, friend lists etc. in zip file. Also you can upload you account information in other website.

301 VS 302 Redirect in SEO

In SEO we use the two types of redirect which are 301 and 302 redirect. Both of these no. tell about the HTTP source code return by web server for given URL. 301 re direct tell the search engines that page has permanently moved to new URL or location. We often call it 301 permanent redirect.

Where as a 302 redirect tell the search engine that page has moved to new URL or location temporary not permanently. You may decide to move to original location or URL after some time.

Which is more important 301 or 302 redirect ?

Lets first discuss about 301 redirect. Every search engine take the 301 in same way, means they ignore the original url and give more value to destination url. Suppose you have a web site with http://www.xyz.com url and you give the 301 redirect to http://www.abc.com url. Now search engine will give the more value to
http://www.abc.com URL.

301 re direct is very useful when you are re designing your web site, acquire new domain, change the domain of your web site etc.

All search engines treat 302 redirect in different way and 302 redirect is temporary. Therefore 302 redirect is not recommended for SEO process.

What do you Mean by SEO ? SEO in Broader Term

The conversation between a SEO and client goes like this. Client- So you are SEO, can you make my web site top in Google and other search engines? I want 1st page, 1st rank for all my keywords, can you do this? The good or bad thing is that here client has little bit of idea about SEO.

Still i have found specially in India, SEO industry has failed to convey the right meaning of SEO, SEO in broader term. I have found there are lots of SEO Companies in India which will say very proudly to client, we will make your website 1st position in first page of Google with guarantee. Even Google itself says, no one can give guarantee in SEO

But in term of ROI, visitors loyalty, Bounce rate they don't have any answers. SEO is not only making your website 1st page, 1st rank in search  engines. SEO is knowing where your customers are, SEO is about search engine experience, its about research on visitors behavior. SEO is about conversion, SEO is about images, videos optimization.

Twitter start showing the promoted accounts in your Twitter profile page. Yesterday Twitter had announced in their Blog about promoted accounts start up. Promoted accounts is latest advertising started by Twitter.

This was my first IndiBlogger meet at Bangalore. Yesterday i joined 250 Bloggers  all across India at Indiblogger meet. The venue of meet was at Fortune Park JP CelestialHotel Bangalore .

IndiBlogger meet gave lots of prizes for contest winners, Bloggers who are pasionate about blogging. Raghva speech on Blogging, tips on blogging was impressive. Besides this  tips from indiblogger team on Mobile blogging was wonderful.

Bloggers from differnt walk of fields share their blogging experience, journey, tips etc. Being a blogger i enjoyed here lot, specially live twitter commenting by bloggers. Poster commenting on on your back was really intersting. Blogger from 14 years to 65 year old were at meet. It was really a great experience, I'm waiting for Indiblogger next meet :-)

Now Google has come up with new feature in Google Instant.You can use the Keyword navigation keys to find out the search for Books, Videos, Blogs, News etc. In Google Instant launch, Google said, People read more and type less. And new navigation feature prove Google is working on it.

New Keywords navigation feature helps you in getting results only by arrow up, down the key. Only two step arrow up, down and when search matches press enter to see your desired search results. Even you can use navigation key to select your interest result.
