Google Changes Algorithm for Spammy Content

A few days ago, Google changed the algorithm for spammy content. Website which used to copy the content from other website and resources will be no longer on search results. The websites which have low quality content are also in Google radar. As Google said, content of a website should be unique, relevant and comprehensive for better search engine result position (SERP).

Google had implemented the new algorithm and in few weeks you can see changes in search results. You can read more information on algorithm and spam content at Google Official Blog.

Do Future of Social Media is Cell Phones

A few days ago, i read in Mashable, Facebook is planning to launch two Facebook Phones in this March. Facebook has done partnership with HTC and may use android as OS for Facebook Phone. Finally Facebook has planned to come in cell phones.

As Facebook said we want to make Facebook more Mobile Social. We want more and more people can access Facebook through cell phones and Facebook Phone is first step to make Facebook more mobile social.

Currently Facebook have around 600 million users and out of which more than 200 million user access Facebook through cell phones. A year ago there were only 50 million people who used cell phones to access Facebook. You can see people has increased 4 times only in one year. And in next years it will increase more in number.

Once there was time people can access the internet in cell phones only through Smart phones. But now from a medium range of cell phones whose cost start from 5-6k rupees, you can access the social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, Orkut etc. Moreover 3G services will also become one of the big reason to use internet in cell phones.

Even every social media website want to make their website cell phones compatiable. There are few social media websites like FourSquare, Path which you can access only through cell phones. I think you can use and take the maximum benefits of Google Places, Facebook Places through cell phones.

This time i have simple Motorolla cell phone, but planning to buy Android OS enabled cell phone. I think this year we will see lots more mobile phones applications. This year will be of Mobile phones and i am sure we will see lots of Tablets, gadgets and low- medium range smart phones in market.

Why Blogs are More Powerful than Website?

You agree or not but Blogs are more powerful than website. Blogs have become best portals for visitors interaction. Blogs are more talkative and always give something new to read. A few reasons why blogs are more powerful than a website.

Easy to Update
Blogs are very easy to update, any one, even who do not have knowledge of html can updates blogs. You can write new post about product and services in blog easily. You can insert images, videos in blog very easily as compared to website.

Best Place for Interaction
In blog you can allow visitors commenting. You can see what people have written about your business or services. If they have any complaint about product and services, people can write about their bad experience.

Biggest Resource of Information
Believe me or not but your blogs are the biggest resource of information for your customers and visitors. You can write about your products and how to use a product in best possible way. Besides this you can give tips to your customers in blog posts.

Traffic Generation
Blogs can generate more traffic as compared to website. Website are statics and rarely change the content and images of website. In general, if you visit a website after one month you will see the same content and look, which is quite boring.

Search Engines Love Blog
Even as SEO point of view Blogs are more powerful than a website. Search engines love blog and crawl blog more faster than a website. More you will update your blog, quickely you will get indexed in search engines results.

Do you Really Need a Website for Business

This is a serious question, do you really need a website for your business? My answer is not necessarily, if you know how to use internet resources. If you know how to use Google, Yahoo, Bing and Social media channels, you do not require a website. Specially, if you have a small business and can't afford for a website. Instead of a website there are few free portals, tools which you should have in internet.

Blogs
Create a blog for your business and services. Blogs are free to use and are easy to update. You can write about your product and services in your blogs. Beside this blogs are good place for visitors interaction. You can reply their comments and can share all information related to your product and services.


Google Places, Yahoo and Bing Local
Google Places is wonderful tool to register your products and business. It's free of cost and you can add pictures, videos related to your product and services. So that if any one search for product and services related to your business and servics locally, your Google places page will shown in search results.
Same is for Yahoo and Bing Local.


Facebook Page
Facebook Page is specially made for business purposes. You can create a separate Facebook Page for your business and services. You can add pictures, videos, all useful links related to your business and services. Also you can invite people to like your page and can make good no. of fans for your page. Facebook Page is best place for CRM activites. You can tell about your company events, discounts on products and can run contest or polls in Facebook Page.

Twitter Account Creation
It looks entire world is in social media and people are talking less and tweeting more. Create your company profile in Twitter. Tell about your business and services and keep tweeting about your product and services.

If you handle all these things in good way, there is no need to create a separate website. You can get more traffic and no. of vistiors than website.

Do you know which is all time most watched video in You Tube? Video which is played maximum no. of times in You Tube. This video is not from any movie, sports, Hollywood celebrities, real life adventure etc. Any guess ?

First lets know which video is seen by how many no. of times. Whenever you saw a video in You Tube it showed total no. of views of that video. These total no. of views tell how many no. of times a video had seen by visitors.

Video which is seen by maximun no. of times in You Tube is of Justin Bieber - Baby ft. Ludacris. Till date this video got 442,625,912 views. This Canadian Pop singer broke the all records of Lady Gaga, Shakira, Eminem and Pitball. And  from long time it is in 1st position. I watched this video but didn't like that much, ok for me not great one.



Second most watched video is Lady Gaga Bad Romance and have 335,899,164 views.

Do Blogs require SEO? How to do SEO for Blogs?

Yesterday my laptop Windows got crashed and lost lots of data. A few days ago i wrote blog post "Lesson i learnt from Spider" which motivates me all time. So instead of frustrating, i thought its better to write blog post.

Lots of my friend ask me question can we do SEO for a blog. How it is different than a website? How much time Blog will take to come in SERP?

I will say Blog don't require SEO. First thing you have to remember that blogs are for writing. So write as much as you can. Blogs are for updation, so keep updating your blog.

For SEO implementation in Blog
First decide on which topic you want to write a blog. If i ask, about what you are writing a blog, you should have specific answer. Like i am writing a blog for Poems, Travel, SEO, Technology etc. If you are writing a blog for everything, that means you are writing for nothing.

Write good Title and Description for your blog. You can see in my blog i write a title and description for my blog. Anyone who come to your blog understand easily what your blog is about.

Make Categories
Make separate category for your blog post and tag your blog post in those category. So visitor can read all posts related to specific topic.

Blog Directory Submission
Submit your blog in good blog directories like Technorati, My Bloglog, Blogged.com, Blog Catalog etc. Besides this you can also register to some good country specific directories like Blog Adda, Indibloger.in etc.

Social Media Participation
Participate and promote your blog in social media website like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin etc. In Facebook you can use network blog for blog promotion. Besides this keep Tweeting your new and old posts.

Social Bookmarking
You can also use the social bookmarking website like Digg, Delicious, Folkd for blog promotion. You can bookmark your blog posts in social bookmarking website. You can read more about social bookmarking websites in my previous blog post.

But the biggest factor for Blog SEO is regular updation. Write unique, relevant and comprehensive content for your visitors. Give them something useful and good information to read.

My biggest SEO advice for Blog is, "Keep updating your blog and write good quality of posts, nothing more than that".

How to use Google Analytic Tracking in Facebook Page

You can enabled the Google analytic tracking code in your Facebook Page. And you can track all activities of your Facebook page. It's simple, go to your Google Analytic account and create a separate profile for your Facebook page. Like i created for my Facebook page as Dev Bhoomi Himachal.

After creating a separate profile for your page, you will get the unique google analytic code. Copy the id no. of tracking code, it will be like UA-123456 (some numeric digits). There is no need to verify website in Google analytics.

Now go to code generator website, this website will generate the separate tracking code for Facebook Pages. Put your analytic code id in this tool and follow the instructions.

Write the Google Analytic code no. in first box and in Domain on Analytics, write facebook.com.  This tracking code look like this, see in red circled area.  Please click on image to see it more clear

Now install this code in your different Facebook pages, you can enable this code in static FBML pages. See above picture, new generated code is in red circled area. As you enabled code it start working and you can see all tracking report in your Google Analytic Dashboard.

Top reasons, why you are not able to see ads in Google PPC campaign?

Sometimes you find that after optimizing your PPC campaign  and having good ad rank you can't find your ads in Google or search engine networks. There can be some reasons due to which still you can't see your ads, some of the main reasons are

Billing Information
Check you have provide the valid billing information in your account

Ad Approval Status
Google will take some time to approve your ad, each no. of time you modifiy your ad, it has to get approved by Google. Check whether it is in Under Review status or not.

Daily Budget
If you have passed or crossed your daily budget, you will not see your ads. For example if you set the daily budget of 300 $ in a day. And as you crossed the cross the 300$ your ads will stop showing in Google Network.

Geo-Targeting
Geo targeting can be one of the factor, e.g if you have targetd your ad in Australia and you are in India. You can't see your ads in India. You can see it only in Google Australian Domain name.

Ad Scheduling
If you enabled the ad scheduling option in your account then be careful you can see your ad in the given scheduled time and day.

Quality Score is one of deciding factor in calculating ad rank.  Ad rank is determined by Ad rank= Bid x Quality Score
