Google gives the page ranking from 1-10 in increasing order. In general page rank of a web site depends on the Page rank of site that links to him and total no. of outbound links of that page. Mean to say is that a link from PR5 page with 10 outbound links is worth more than a link from PR6 page having more than 100 outbound links.
In this case your page will get the more page rank value from PR5 as compared to PR6 page. So we can say that if there are more links on a page, less page rank value your page will get from that page. Also the page rank of a page who is linked to your page is not get effected by your page linking.
Page Rank formula was developed by the Larry Page one of the founder of Google and later Sergey Brin joined the research project. Till now Google has not disclosed the PR formula completely.
Google official formula for calculating the page rank of the site is
PR(A)=(1-d)+d(PR(t1)/C(t1)+………..+PR(tn)/C(tn))
In this equation t1-tn are the pages linking to page A
‘C’ is the no. of outbound links that a page have
d is the damping factor and having the 0.85 value
You can find the page rank of your site by using the tools like prchecker tool, site page rank tool etc.
